It is surrounded by 45 theatres, 28 hotels and is visited annually by approximately 37 million tourists from all over the world. Broadway crossing 7th Avenue between 42nd and 47th Streets forms Times Square. Times Square hosts the largest and best-known New Year’s celebration in the world, marked by the tradition of lowering the ball from a pole on top of One Times Square which is centered in this panorama.
