Abram Games (1914-1996) was one of the leading British graphic designers of the 20th century. Born in London, he briefly attended St Martins 's School of Art before joining a commercial design firm in the 30's. During World War II Games produced over 100 propaganda posters in his capacity as official war artist. After the war he worked for commercial clients such as Guiness, BOAC and Shell and produced the award winning Festival of Britain logo. Games iconic poster designs are a testament to his belief that the simplest of designs often carry the strongest message.
