My paintings fuse strong shapes and clean colours to create a pleasing tranquility and harmony that invite the viewer to pause and enjoy a different perspective on the world.
Having trained and qualified as a Graphic Designer at Croydon College of Art between 1963 and 1967, I worked in Advertising agencies in London. In April 1969 I married Richard and subsequently became the fulltime mother of two lively sons, Gavin and Colin.
Following my husbands retirement in 2001, we have spent a considerable amount of time travelling throughout Europe visiting major art galleries, museums and sites of cultural importance. My travels have acted as a strong inspiration to creativity, and my artwork is regularly exhibited in Art Galleries and similar venues. For details, visit my website www.susancunningham.co.uk
My paintings are intended to provide strong, timeless, tranquil images which will bring a positive element to any environment. By making them available as prints, they may be customised to suit the style and proportions of individual homes and offices, providing great flexibilty.
My original artwork is created on stretched cotton canvas using flow formula acrylic. The paintings are unframed and range in size from h 16inches x w 22 inches through h30 x w40 to h 36 inches x w 48 inches, and are available for purchase from my website www.susancunningham.co.uk
